Buenos Aires, March 31 (NA) – The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) released the poverty and indigence index for the second half of 2025, which closed at under 30 points. In this regard, Minister of Economy Luis 'Toto' Caputo stated that 'poverty is the lowest in more than 7 years'. According to information from the Argentine News Agency (NA), this is the lowest level in the last eight years. The strong drop in poverty and indigence is based on economic growth, the disinflation process, and the reinforcement of social programs without intermediaries since the beginning of the administration'.
